Joanna Bator
Joanna Bator (born 1968) is a well-known Polish writer and publicist. She studied at Warsaw University and the School of Social Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences. She worked at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the PAN and the Polish-Japanese School of Information Technology. Since 2011, she has focused exclusively on literary and journalistic work. She became well-known thanks to her novels Sandy Mountain (2009) and Chmurdalia (2010), and in 2013 she won the Nike Literary Award for her novel Dark, almost night.
The Astrolabe Publishing began to publish her works in Ukrainian from her novel Sandy Mountain (published in 2015).
