Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim
Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim (1867–1951) is a graduate of the Nicholas Cavalry School in St. Petersburg (1889), a participant in the Russo-Japanese War, World War II and Finnisch Civil War as well as the Intelligence Expedition (1906–1908) in Asia. One of the founders of independent Finland and its armed forces. Regent of Finland (1918‒1919), Marshal of Finland (1933), Commander-in-chief of the defence forces (1939–1944) and 6th President (1944–1946) of the Republic of Finland. The Astrolabe Publishing publishes his Memoirs.
