Friedrich Schiller
Friedrich Schiller (1759–1805) was a German romantic poet, playwright, and thinker, professor of history, and military physician, best known as the author of plays and Ode to Joy. A proponent of the Sturm und Drang movement. He was friends with Goethe for many years, and together they created the Weimar Theatre which became the leading one in Germany.
