Geoffrey Chaucer
Geoffrey Chaucer (1340–1400), an English postholder, thinker, translator and poet who is reckoned among the founders of English national literature and the creators of the modern English language. His poems The Book of the Duchess, The House of Fame, Parlement of Foules, Troilus and Criseyde, The Legend of Good Women, his Treatise on the Astrolabe and other works came down to us. However, Chaucer gained immortal glory primarily through his poem The Canterbury Tales, the first Ukrainian translation of which the Astrolabe Publishing publishes in 2019.
