Oleksandr Turchynov
Oleksandr Turchynov (born 1964) is a well-known Ukrainian politician, scientist, writer, preacher, Doctor of Economics, professor, and winner of the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology. He has held the positions of Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, First Deputy Prime Minister, and Head of the National Resistance Headquarters during the Revolution of Dignity. In February 2014, he headed the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and performed the duties of President of Ukraine, and from 2014 to 2019, he held the position of Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine. In addition to his articles on economic, security and theological issues, he is the author of the books Illusion of Fear (2004), Testimony (2006), The Last Supper (2007), The Advent (2012), and The Tale of Dobromol (2020). The book Illusion of Fear was adapted into a film of the same name in 2008.
