Beatrix Potter
Beatrix Potter (1866–1943) was an English writer and artist who illustrated her own books as well as left about three hundred perfect watercolours of fungi behind her. She figures in history preeminently as an author of a children book series about Peter Rabbit and other animal characters. In 2016 the Astrolabe Publishing published a collection of the writer’s 23 fairy stories, released in her lifetime, for the first time in Ukrainian in Olena O’Lear’s translation.
