Partrick Rambaud
Patrick Rambaud (born 1946) is a French writer, journalist, literary critic, author of about thirty books. His novel The Battle was awarded the 1997 Prix Goncourt and the Grand Prix of the Académie française. This novel marked the beginning of a historical trilogy dedicated to different moments in Napoleon’s life. The next books in the trilogy were Il neigeait (2000) and L’Absent (2003). In 2008, Patrick Rambaud was elected a member of the Académie Goncourt, and in 2022 he was elected an honorary member of this literary organisation.
