Wojciech Pestka

Wojciech Pestka (b. 1951) — a Polish poet, prose writer, translator. As a poet he debuted as early as in his student days, belonged to the poetical group Sansara. After finishing his studies at the faculty of mathematics of the University of Lublin he worked as researcher, gardener and programmer, traveled extensively. He is awarded, in particular, with the Nagroda Marszałka Województwa Mazowieckiego (2010), Hryhorii Skovoroda international literary prize Garden of Divine Songs (2012), Mykola Hohol international literary prize Triumph (2013), Bolesław Prus literary prize (2013). His works were translated into English, German, Russian, Latvian and Ukrainian. The Astrolabe Publishing produced his collection of social and politic assays See You in Hell.
