Land Forces of Ukraine: History of the 38th Army Corps

The book is a part of a large-scale author’s project to cover the complex process of formation of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the country gained independence. For the first time in Ukrainian historiography, the history and organisation of the 38th Army Corps, which was transformed from the 38th Army (II Formation) of the Carpathian Military District, is covered in detail. On the basis of archival materials, a rich source base and the author’s own experience, the process of creation and reform of this army corps, which ceased to exist in 2003, is studied thoroughly.
For researchers in the field of military history, teachers, cadets and students of both military and civilian educational institutions as well as for anyone interested in the history of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
