Ukraine: Love and struggle

The event-related part of the book by the Italian writer, educationalist and philosopher Danilo Sbrana is about the legendary Kolky Republic arisen during the Second World War in Volyn. But gradually the author is moving beyond the subject of a specified historical event — the daring deed of Ukrainian partisans, their heroic struggle against all kinds of colonialism — and turn his readers to timeless themes of human existence, such as love, fidelity, honesty, truthfulness, freedom, vocation. From this prospect the Ukrainian Resistance movement transforms into an important element of the pan-European struggle against any attempt of enslavement of man.
