The war in the Ukrainian East revealed some still neglected facets of Ukrainian art dedicated to war heroism, valour and urgency. Volodymyr Tymchuk took up this artistic challenge with his poetical works inspired by familiar and unfamiliar to him defenders of Ukraine as well as his translations of almost pearls of the military poetry of the world poetical treasury. A number of alike in trend poems written by the author before 2014 is published, too.
