The Inclusion of the Other: Studies in the Political Theory

The book of the contemporary German philosopher and sociologist Jürgen Habermas contains essays that appeared after the publication of Between Facts and Norms (1992). They are united by the interest to the question of what consequences emerge today from the universalistic meaning of republican principles, in particular what they mean for the pluralistic societies in which multicultural contradictions sharpen; for the national states that unite into subnational unities; for the citizens of the world community that imperceptibly for themselves and against their will happen to be in the community of risks.
